Ylorie Taylor is all about driving brands to grow further and faster. Currently, the Vice President at EDEN BodyWorks, one of the fastest growing indie brands in the beauty industry, Ylorie was sought out for this role based upon her industry experiences and relationships. Ylorie oversees North American marketing and operations, including building the overall brand strategy, product development, crafting integrated marketing plans, overseeing digital communications, driving sales, and ensuring smooth operations in distribution and customer service. Ylorie also serves as the brand evangelist.
Ylorie has advised some of the world’s leading personal care and beauty companies to turbo- charge their revenue and profit growth. She has orchestrated the development, launch and marketing of some of the personal care industry’s most successful product and marketing concepts. Her “work” has been featured in and on Essence.com, Ebony.com, Uptown Magazine, Hype Hair, Refinery 29, and Hello Beautiful, just to name a few.

In 2008, Ylorie began consulting under the moniker Brown Girl Marketing, honing in on her niche for developing marketing and sales strategies for women of color. She now utilizes this platform to build brands, mentor women in the industry and serve on corporate boards. Her leadership and ability to cultivate formidable partnerships in the industry has dubbed her numerous honors and recognition, including the honorary title of Chief Connections Officer (CCO). She was recently honored in the 2013 Network Journal’s 40 Under Forty class.
Ylorie obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Norfolk State University and a MBA from DePaul University. Outside of work, Ylorie enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, family and friends. She loves to travel and is an avid sports fan. Ylorie resides in Westchester, New York and is an active member in her community through her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
